Does the hIOmon I/O Monitor have to be started/running for the hIOmon Manager to transfer file I/O operation performance information from the "File I/O Log" files for "replay" mode display by the hIOmon Presentation Clients? G-A1. No. The hIOmon Manager can retrieve the file I/O operation performance information that was previously saved within the disk "File I/O Log" files and transfer this file I/O operation performance information to the hIOmon Presentation Clients (for "replay" mode display) regardless of whether or not the associated hIOmon I/O Monitor is currently running. G-Q2. hIOmon provides support for generating a System Event Log record for specified conditions selected as part of the File I/O Summary option filter definition. Will System Event Log records be generated during "replay" mode display by a hIOmon Presentation Client? G-A2. No. The optional System Event Log records are only generated when the summarized file I/O operation performance information is offloaded by the hIOmon I/O Monitor to the hIOmon Manager (and not subsequently if the same file I/O operation performance information is retrieved from a "File I/O Log" file for transfer to a hIOmon Presentation Client for "replay" mode display). See the "System Event Log Record Option" section of the hIOmon User Guide for additional information about hIOmon support for System Event Log records. |
