hyperI/O LLC, the file and disk I/O performance monitoring expert, announced today that International Business Machines Corp. has published a "Success Fact Sheet" article describing the collaboration between IBM and hyperI/O that enabled hyperI/O to quickly and efficiently enhance its industry-leading hIOmon™ File I/O Performance Monitor software utility tool to include integrated support for IBM Tivoli Monitoring solutions.  The article is available for download at both the "Documentation" section of the hyperI/O web site and at the IBM web site (http://www.ibm.com/partnerworld/iic/vbrief/hyperio_success.pdf).

hyperI/O LLC, the file and disk I/O performance monitoring expert, announced today that the integrated support for IBM® Tivoli® Monitoring provided by the industry-leading hIOmon™ File I/O Performance Monitor software utility tool from hyperI/O has successfully met the IBM specifications for validation as "Ready for IBM Tivoli software".  In addition, the validated "hIOmon IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM) Intelligent Remote Agent (IRA)" solution entry has been included within the IBM Tivoli "Open Process Automation Library (OPAL)" at www.ibm.com/software/tivoli/opal.

 During Boot Startup of Windows® Operating Systems

hyperI/O LLC,  the file I/O performance monitoring expert, announced today that its industry-leading hIOmon File I/O Performance Monitor now enables users to display and export both file and device I/O operation metrics that have been collected by the hIOmon software during the boot startup of the Windows operating system.  These metrics can be captured by hIOmon upon an individual file and device basis, with support for both “partitions/volumes” and “entire disks” at the physical device level within the operating system.  Moreover, hIOmon can collect an “I/O Operation Trace” and/or summarized (i.e., aggregated) I/O operation performance metrics for user-selected files as well as devices concurrently during system boot startup.

hyperI/O LLC, the file I/O performance monitoring expert, announced today that its industry-leading hIOmon File I/O Performance Monitor now enables users to collect, display, and export a variety of enhanced metrics that help bring to light the actual performance impact of fragmented files upon file I/O operation activity.  These metrics include the number of "split I/O" operations (i.e., multiple I/O operations performed at the physical device level within the operating system to satisfy a single file I/O operation) observed for an individual file as well as the actual percentage of "fragmented file I/O activity" (for both read and write I/O operations) for a specific file.
